Adding Your Response
- The Text Box
- At the end of every topic page is a text box where you are given the opportunity to add your responses to the conversation.
To add your response:
- Type your response into the text box at the bottom of the screen.
- Since some browser/machine combinations do not support word wrap, you should hit [Return] at the end of each line as you type.
- Select the "Submit Response" button.
Your response will be added to the end of the conversation and will be displayed along with the previous response.
++++PLEASE NOTE++++
Even though you see your response displayed, you are still at the respond stage.
If you hit the Reload button, your response will be posted a second time.
Use the Back button or various navigation options to return to reading or browsing.
- Adding HTML To Your Response
- If you are familiar with HTML tags, you can include active links in your response. Simply type the HREF anchor reference as usual.
- For example, if you are posting a link to Yahoo you would type your response as follows:
- Here is my favorite Internet index page.
It is called <A HREF="http://www.yahoo.com">Yahoo.</A>
- And it would appear as follows:
- Here is my favorite Internet index page.
It is called Yahoo.
- Even easier is to just type the URL. Yapp recognizes the format and makes it an active link like this:
- My favorite Internet index page is located at http://www.yahoo.com
- or this:
- You can get that file at ftp://support.apple.com
Be sure to close any open tags before submitting your response.
