Robert answered for scutage on 5 knights' fees in 1161. He was possibly son of William de Glastonia who is mentioned in 1131.[4]
Bartlett (in 1914) lists Robert's mother as Matilda Arundel daughter of Roger Arundel. However, Sanders (in 1960) lists his wife's mother as Maud (which is another name for Matilda) daughter of Roger Arundel. Hence, it is possible the same person is referred to, and Bartlett is in error.
